Cofis Supporting Gisda
Caernarfon Town Football Club is delighted to have made a donation to Gisda, a Charity that supports and provides opportunities to vulnerable and homeless young people (ages 14-25) in Gwynedd, North Wales.
Club captain Darren Thomas and chairman Paul Evans visited the charity’s Caernarfon Office on Thursday to meet staff and find out more about the work they carry out with the young people who live in the area.
Darren said: “The work Gisda does with vulnerable young people is important and can be life changing. It was interesting to hear from the staff about the many different ways the charity can help people who really need it.”
Paul is pleased that the club could help in a small way by making the donation: “These are such challenging times for everyone, and young people can be especially vulnerable. The service Gisda provides is essential and we are very proud to have them as the club’s official charity. We are aware of the amazing impact their work has on young people in our community, including offering safe housing, life skills training, employment opportunities, mental health support and fostering independence. We want to thank the staff for their excellent work and we will continue to support their efforts in the future.”
